Winter Rock School 2010
Live Performance Course
Come & join us on 16th, 17th & 18th February - £100 for 3 days
During the 3 days pupils will:
Find out everything you ever wanted to know about forming your own band
Study various aspects of song structure & arrangement.
Be placed into bands & learn, rehearse, 2 rock cover songs.
Get to play music together in a constructive & creative environment.
Experience the thrill of playing your instrument loud, as intended!
Learn how to perform, including confidence building, (looking like a rock star!)
Perform your 2 songs to an audience through a professional 10k PA & lighting system Push yourself to the limit & rock out on stage with your newly formed band
What level of musical ability is required?
Pupils would need to have a basic level of ability on their instrument! For example guitarists would need to be able to play basic chord sequences & maybe some lead, drummers to keep a beat, vocalists to sing in tune, bass players able to follow a basic groove of the drums etc.
How much will it cost?
The three-day winter course costs £100, this would be paid in advance.
Where will it be held?
The Assembly rooms, High Street Dedham, Colchester, Essex, C07 6DE.
What age group is the course syllabus aimed at?
Young people from 11 to 20 years, not necessarily still in education.
What will I need to bring?
All students will be expected to bring their own instruments, example guitar & amplifier, drum kit etc. Singers will be provided with a microphone.
