CREATING & RECORDING COURSE
Come & join us on 6th, 7th & 8th April 2010 - £100 for 3 days
The Rock Factor EASTER ROCK school will be aimed at creating, rehearsing, performing and recording your own compositions.
During the 3 days pupils will:
Explore your musical influences and create your own rock classic
Discover how the greatest rock stars wrote their hit songs
Learn how to construct & arrange music within your own band
Perform your songs in front of a live audience
Study various aspects of song structure & arrangement
Find out how the stars get their inspiration
What makes a hit song?
Learn riff construction & groove
Discover what makes a great vocal melody
Who are you writing your music for?
Experiment with different sounds & effects
Record your groups composition
What level of musical ability is required?
No formal qualification is needed, neither is the ability to read music
Guitarists would need to play basic chord sequences & maybe some lead
Drummers would be required to keep a basic beat and basic fills
Bassists able to follow a basic grooves of the drums and keep time
Vocalists able to sing in tune
Bands are required to demonstrate a rock cover of their choice
How much will it cost?
The three-day EASTER school costs £100, this would be paid in advance

The Assembly Rooms, High Street, Dedham, Essex, CO7 6DE
What age group is the course syllabus aimed at?
Young people aged from 10 - 20 years
What will I need to bring?
All students will be expected to bring along their own instruments, example guitar & amplifier, drum kit etc...Singers will be provided with a microphone.
